Preheat Oven to 375 F
Tofu: Cut block of tofu and cut into approx. 1 cm thick slices. Place onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Mix sauce ingredients and spoon a generous amount on top of each slice (I found there was enough sauce for two packages of tofu). Refrigerate the left over for your second batch).
There is no need to flip these pieces or coat both sides, the flavour will fully penetrate the tofu.
Bake 40 minutes and remove from oven. Now the tofu will look a little dry that's great. The real magic begins in the refrigerator. Place in a sealed container and refrigerate minimum 4-6 hours, overnight is even better.
Enjoy these slices on their own, on a sandwich or as a salad topping. The possibilities are endless!
